To share St Marcellin Champagnat's dream of transforming the lives of all young men. The college pledges to offer the highest quality, innovative, integrated, Catholic education both human and spiritual, based on a personal love and respect of each student within a safe nurturing environment.
Marist College Kogarah clearly shows it's catholic faith throughout the school. MCK's history and tradition shows the strong catholic faith of the school. This is also shown through the religious symbols the school has. Rituals and religious celebrations are celebrated each year which also expresses MCK's catholic faith. The school also shows the relationship with other local parishes. MCK's actions of giving to the poor shows the true christianity and catholicism. The tremendous evidence of religious work displayed throughout the school shows the importance of being a catholic.
MCK have a rich tradition of following St Marcellin Champagnat's mission of 'Transforming lives and situations of all young men.'
Every year to create a theme for Marist College Kogarah. Mr Boys finds a quote from the bible. The image of the theme is put out by the Marist Brothers and is used for the theme.
The four houses is an important tradition of MCK as everyone that joins MCK is put in one of these houses. This
brings competition and enjoyment when it comes to house based activities.
Named after Cardinal Gilroy, enrolled on the school's first day in 1909.

On 1907 Marist Brothers founded MCK and in 1908 Patrick Moran the third Archbishop of Sydney blessed MCK. In 1909 lessons started and MCK started educating students.
The reason MCK have connected parishes which are the:
Rockdale, Bexley and Arncliffe parish. MCK students are asked join in with important masses and help celebrate these masses as well.
Every year MCK donate to organisations inviting the students to be involved. This helps the organisations to do their mission and get rid of the poverty in this world. The three organisations MCK support is Caritas, St Vincent De Paul and Marist Missions

The charism of MCK is to follow in the footsteps of St Marcellin Champagnat. So this means it is MCK's mission to educate all young men.
Marist College Kogarah founded in 1909 and has a tradition of following in the footsteps of an inspirational person St Marcellin Champagnat.
Caritas help people who are poor and who are in third world countries. They provide money and provide programs to teach life skills to the poor so they can survive on their own. On lent the students provide money so Caritas can work towards their mission of ridding this world of poverty
Vinnies support people who have a low income such as people who are homeless. Vinnies also support migrants and refugees to start a new life. MCK support Vinnies by providing volunteers and by also providing food to help with the night patrol.
The mission of marist missions is to support the poor people in South East Asia and the Asia Pacific region. They especially help children who have been dispossesed.
MCK provide money to Marist Missions so they can carry out their mission.

MCK includes many religous symbols through out the school.
All of these symbols represent the catholic faith. Their many numerous symbols throughout the school include:

The rituals of MCK include the mothers day mass, Champagnat day mass which are celebrated every year.

Mothers is day is a celebration of the mothers and thank you for their love for their children.

The main reason of the Champagnat day mass is to celebrate the great work of St Marcellin Champanat and to remember to be a person like him. This is rewarded by the handing out of the Champagnat awards.
