"My father once told me that life is filled with sorrow and brief moments of happiness. As a person living with mental illness, these moments, for me, are birthed in the act of creation. Painting a moment in time creates a sense of belonging in an otherwise judgmental world."
"Seemingly life paces us like the hands on a clock and as each moment passes we are drawn closer to the end, and yet time keeps ticking. While some stand still, others chase shadows, the sun, the moon and the cardinal directions seldom shift. Our perceptions of who we are and who we will become are forever changing. While our fragile realities dictate the pulse at which we change, we as humans remain the same...eternally seeking reverence."
