Theme

The overall message of the book was ''it is okay to be different.'' That was the overall message because the UDM kids in the book did not like being different because other kids misjudged them. It showed the reader that being different isn't always so bad.

Recommendation

It think people should read this book because it has a lot of adventure. I would recommend this book to kids that enjoy lots of magic and excitement. I would rate this book four-and-a-half stars out of five.

Summary

Upside-Down Magic is a book about a group of kids with unusual magic powers. There are five different regular magic catogories including Flares, Flyers, Fluxers, Fuzzies, and Flickers. Flares have fire magic, Flyers fly, Fluxers turn into animals, Fuzzies communicate with animals, and Flickers can can be invisible or make things invisible. Weird things are happening in the school and the Upside-Down Magic kids are being blamed for it. A big problem in the book is when Lacey, a mean girl who doesn't like the UDM ( Upside-Down Magic), tries to kick UDM out of the school. She starts a petition and wants people to sign it so she gets her way. Will her plan work? Read the book to find out.
