Bye for now !

Unit 1 Lesson 9

Specify Where

Remember

  • change your eye gaze to look at the location of the second object
  • indicate the placement of the second object by tapping twice with the index finger to indicate THERE

  • glance at the shape as you trace it
  • hold a reference point on the first shape
  • tap and glance at the location to place the second object

Symmetrical Shapes

In this lesson you will describe shapes and indicate where to place a second shape.

  • above, below or inside the first shape

When describing a basic symmetrical shape, you use both hands moving simultaneously.

Reference or starting point

Practice

Practice drawing these 3 shapes and then place the second object inside, above or below the spape.

When you are describing a circle, your non-dominant hand stays at the “reference" or starting point while the dominant hand traces the circle.

Did you get them right?

Eye gaze must match !

You would then use your index finger head position and eye gaze to indicate the spatial relationship (above, under or inside) between the first and second shape.
