A Authoritarian Regime is a form of government in which there is one group or single person of the elite is in charge. This leader is not constitutionally responsible for the people.
A authoritarian Regime has the following main characteristics.
One There is a highly centralized government in which means that executive and legislative power is held in higher levels of the government. This power is normally held by one person or a small group of people.
People that are subject to a Authoritarian Regime do not have rights such as freedom of speech or religion. They also can not choose who is the leader of there country. The must follow blindly.
The government diced what the people can or can't have there is no freedom of choice.

North Korea is the most Authoritarian country in the world right now although it is not to the word a Authoritarian Regime. The government there is based off of one man named Kim Il-sung and his pro China and Pro soviet union ideals. The current leader is Kim Jong-un. Along with this there is a lot of reason to be skeptical about the legitimacy of there elections. Along with this is it well know that the citizen there have less than ideal living conditions.
