Being a veternarians assistant still requires you to have a bachelors degree. Only you will be working in a building with other vets whereas when you are working with wildlife animals you would/ could be working by yourself or with another wildlife rehabilitator if you would like.

You should have good knowledge of wound management, fluid administration, nutritional needs, Restraints and capturing teqniques. You should also be able to keep detailed records, supervising voulenteers, conducting fundraisers, phone calls, and educational demonstrations.

A cheetah!!!

A day in the life of a cheetah would consist of having to be very active and a fast runner. You would only rest if its very hot and cheetahs like resting under shadey trees. Unlike most animals the cheetah hunts its prey during the day while others tend to hunt theirs at night.

Facts about cheetahs:

  • Cheetahs are the worlds fastest land animal.
  • Cheetahs can run up to 113km/h. they can go from 0 too 100km/h in three seconds
  • Their 2,000 to 3,000 spots help camoflauge themselves.
  • Cheetahs diets rely on meet. They normally like to eat smaller antelopes, springbok, steenbok, Thomson’s gazelle, impalas, and duiker.
  • Cheetahs can survive on one drink of water for 3 to 4 days.
