As a child growing up, jesus learned the trade of the trade of carpenter from joseph, he also grew in knowledge of his jewish faith from his parents learning for there examples. as jesus was a young man he would paricipat in the religious festivals. at one of them he astounded his teachers with his superior knowledeg. luke ends his second chapter by simply saying, "Jesus has advanced in wisdom and age and favor before God and man."
Luke's Gospel tells how the boy loved a life of humble obedaience in the Galilean town of Nazareth. Jesus' submission with his parents contrasts sharply with Adam's disobedience to God in the garden.
