Auschwitz Concentration Camp

Auschwitz is located in Southern Poland.

The construction of Auschwitz started in April 1940 in an abandoned army barracks.

802 prisoners tried to escape but only 144 reached their well earned success.

Kashmirs Piechowski is one of the 144 prisoners to have broken out of Auschwitz camp and is still living to this day. While presenting this he is 91 years of age.

1.Shoes:10,000 pairs of shoes remain.

2.hair:6350kg worth of human hair remains.

Also many shirts,pants,hats ect still remain.

Walks and transport

Prisoners forced to march.

Prisoners march to trains to get sent to other camps.

Many people died on them journeys.

7k german soilders served for Auchwitz.

Working days

A working day would last from 5:10am-7pm

In the morning the prisoners would hear the first gong ,once they hear this they would wake up,tidy there living space and go to the yard.

In the yard they would line up in rows of ten.

And take their orders from the headmaster.
