The main theme our group thought of was that everybody deserves a second chance

• the main conflict in this book is when mr. healy falls off the fire escape and hits his head, therefore he loses his memory. meanwhile the boys must maintain their everyday lives and mrs. vaughn is coming about a week after mr. healys injury.

graham ´gecko´ fosse

Personality wise he's a sort jumpy character. Most of the time he is very nervous and anxious about what is going on around him, but he can also take leadership and act confident when he needs to.

terence florian

Terence Florian is a fast-talking petty thief and would-be gang member. The halfway house affords the boys limited liberty, but if any of them messes up, they all go back to jail. When Terence tries to escape, their minder, the big-hearted Mr. Healy, falls from a fire escape.

douglas healy

is the man who brings the boys to the halfe way house in new york mr healy is koked oncousis one night when he was trying to brake up a fight the boys brout him to a hospitall later yhrt ran away mr healys idea had falled

roxanne fitzner Roxanne is Gecko's girlfriend until they are forced to break up. Her rich daddy doesn't approve and Gecko cant risk it. Rox is a volunteer at the hospital. She devotes her life to private school and volunteering.

arjay moran Arjay Moran is a very very big kid.He looks incredibly old for being 15.He killed someone.Well he was falsely accused of killing someone. When he refused to join the school football team that needed him, a few of the football players got angry. They followed him home and tried to jump him. Arjay pushed one of the guys and he stumbled backward hitting his head on the park fountain.t The guy never woke up.
