The government in our Utopia is a monarchy. This government is heavily based off of the current British government. This is what ultimately turns our Utopia into a dystopia
The King
King
The King of our Utopia is not elected and his family line is who rules the country. Nobody knows how, when, or why this family came into power. The family believes that their family being in power is God's Providence. This has not bothered the people for some time.
Taxes
Citizens are unfairly taxed and are constantly complaining to the government about the high taxes. Despite their efforts to lower taxes citizens have no representation in the government and are left very upset with the government.
The housing will obviously depend on the persons pay, but theres equal oportunities for everyone.

Our Utopia became a dystopia when the king died and his son took his place of power. The new king started to abuse his power and upset the citizens. Citizens soon became outraged at these unfair laws and taxes so they revolted. The utopia is now in a state of dismay and chaos. Some citizens riot and are trying to change the government.
