Uncle Bouki is a hardworking farmer that produced vegetables on his land. He had gotten tired and hungry from his work and decided to sell his yams and peas to get some food.
As Bouki was walking to the market in the Haiti heat, he sees a old man. The old man was deaf but he had a bowl of calalou which was pork, crab meat, string beans, okra, onions and some peppers. After Bouki's attempts to figure out what the old man was eating, the old man ate a pepper and said "Wheeeeeeai" and Bouki thank the old man for telling him about "Wheeeeeeai".
When Bouki made it to the market he rushed his way to sell his produce and ask all the venders about "Wheeeeeeai".
The venders all laughed and giggled about his crazy name and with defeat he leaves the market and tries to find the meal some where else.
Ti Malice, who is younger than Bouki, heard from the market place that he was looking for a meal called "Wheeeeeeai".
Near his house he takes some cactus and put it in a sack. He also put oranges, pineapples and a big potato to cover the cactus. Then he waited for Uncle Bouki to come back home to see his surprise.
When Bouki made it back to his house he greets Ti Malice and ask him about "Wheeeeeeai" and Ti Malice said "I just happen to have some Wheeeeeeai in this bag," and gave him the bag. Bouki looks through the bag and see's the potato, pineapples and oranges and said "That's not Wheeeeeeai" but, when he saw the cactus he screams " Wheeeeeeai ". Then Ti Malice laughed and said " you found your Wheeeeeeai".
