Target Audience
-My main target audience will be males between the ages of 16 and 22.
-They will typically be interested in music and partying.
-They will probably be somewhat lazy and unorganised and enjoys spending time with friends when they can.
-They will be at university, college or at school so they will have a fairly busy life. But they will have a small part time job so they have some extra money they can spend.
-They take school seriously but like to do things at the last minute.
James
James is a 17-year-old student currently in the process of completing his a levels. He is upper middle class and has a part time job in a pub as a waiter, and likes to spend the money he gains on useless belongings.
He lives with his two parents and his younger brother which he finds unbearably annoying. If his friends had to describe James they would say things like highly unorganised, funny, nice and friendly.
James
He is fairly popular within his school and maintains lots of friendships and he finds it easy to socialise with people as he has good people and social skills and he likes going to parties with his friends. James sometimes likes to put socialising in front of doing his school work, however, he does take his a levels seriously.
He is highly interested in the new technology that is being released and possesses an iPad, iPhone and MacBook which he works hard for. He likes to keep up with current world affairs as he finds it interesting and it helps him with the subjects he is undertaking – history, politics, law and economics.
James
In his free time, he likes to play games with his friends on his laptop and Xbox and sometimes puts this over doing his school work. He loves to listen to music, go shopping and doing sporty things such as rugby, football, cricket, rowing, judo and going to the gym.
His music taste is quite mainstream music i.e. music that is in the top charts. Brands that interest James are Apple, Microsoft, Superdry, Nike, Adidas and so on. The NRS social grade for my target audience is B, this is simply because it allows my target audience to have extra disposable income that they can spend on technology, clothes and additional music.
