DE GUZMAN testified that he was able to examine three guns registered in the name of the accused : (a) Pistol 45 Armscore M1911 A1FS TAC; Pistol Gloc G22 Blue; and Pistol 45 Norinco M1911 A1CHC. Based from the report issued buy his office, De Guzman stated that the FEO PNP eamined the firearm turnover by the Manila Police District MPD to established whether the bullet and the 4 empty shells recovered from the crime scene came from the accused
A Manila court has convicted a Philippine Army reservist for the killing of a bicycle rider in a road rage incident in Quiapo back in 2016, the Department of Justice (DoJ) reported Monday.
Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete said Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 14 Judge Buenaventura Albert J. Tenorio Jr. found Vhon Martin Tanto guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of murder and sentenced him to reclusion perpetua (20 to 40 years) for the death of Mark Vincent Garalde.
The court also ordered him to pay the heirs of Garalde P1,048,109 as actual damages and P300,000 for civil indemnity, moral and exemplary damages.
