1926

Early Life of Queen Elizabeth II

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary was born on April 21, 1926. Her father and predecessor was King George VI and her mother was Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. She would later have a younger sister named Princess Margaret. She and her sister were homeschooled by a governess named Marion Crawford.

1945

Millitary

On April 24, 1924 on her 16th birthday, she was recruited and had her first job as a millitary regiment. At Febuary 1945, Queen Elizabeth started training as a mechanic and a driver for the second world war. This assoisation was called the Auxiliary Territorial Service also knows as the ATS. She was also responsible for linking sailors, soldiers, airmen, marines and other people that joined the war.

1970

First royal walkabout

In New Zealand in 1970, Queen Elizabeth II decided to get out of her car and started to walk instead of staying in the car. The royal family would usually stay inside their car and not leave it for saftey reasons. The Queen wanted the chance to meet more people and locals that were there and not only the officials and dignitaries that she was scheduled to meet with.

2002

Jubilees

On Febuary 6th 1977, the queen was celebrated for being a monarch for 25 years. This even was held in front of the parliment house in Canberra. On wendsday Febuary 6, 2002, the 50th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II. This event is also called the golden jubilee This even was held to thank and apprechate the queen for all she has done. On Febuary 6, 2012, the diamond jubliee was held which was to celebrate 60 years after being a moharch. This event was held in the Buckingham Palace Garden. The last Jubilee that the queen ever had was the platinum jubilee. The platinum jubilee was held in Febuary 6, 2022 and ended June 5th 2022. The only reason for this event to occur was to celebrate the queen for being a monarch for 70 years.

2019

The Death of Prince Phillip

On April 9, 2021, Queen Elizabeth's husband of 73 years passed away. He died at the age of 99 and was a huge part of her life. They met just before World War II because she was his third cousin.

2022

The Death

Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8, 2022. Many theories were thrown around but it has been concluded that she has died from natural causes at the age of 96. She was the UKs longest serving monarch reigning for 70 years.

The Future

The new monarch of the UK is King Charles III. He is currently 73 years old and he was Queen Eliazbeth's eldest child.

The coronation of Queen Elizabeth II

1953

In the summer of 1952, King George's health was deterioating significantly. He passed away on February 6, 1952. Queen Elizabeth was the eldest sibling and was coronated on June 2, 1953 at Westminster Abbey. Her coronation was the first to be broadcast on live television. 27 million people watched it live and 11 million listened on the radio.
