What

Drone farming is to collect data of their crops, livestock health, soil quality, weather and rainfall results and more. The technique of drone farming is used to help optimize agricultural operations and increase crop production.

The idea of the drone came from Nikola Tesla and the first actual flying drone was invented by Reginald Denny. Robert blair was one of the first farmers to use a drone for farming.

When were drones starting to be used for farming

When

Farmers first began to use drones on their farms in 2006 and they have been used commercially since the 1980's. The

Where were farming drones used

Where

Farming drones were used on farms and flown in the air to make it more manuverable. All over the U.S. 84% of farmers say that they use drones on their farm.

Why did farmers use start using drones

Why

It was easier for farmers to use drones because they were more maneuverable. And they could also cover more land in a shorter amount of time. It gave them access to a lot of data of their fields without them having to do much work.

How were they used effeciently

How

They were equipped with propulsion systems, infrared cameras, GPS, and navigation systems. Most drones are battery powered making it cheaper to run.
