SUMMARY
The morse code is a way of transmitting information as a series of tones, clicks or switches that can be understood by a skilled listener without any special equipment
THESE ARE THE DIFFERENT FORMS OF MORSE CODE ACROSS THE WORLD
MORE THAN 26 LETTERS ?
BECAUSE SOME LANGUAGES HAD MORE THAN 26 LETTERS, THEY HAD TO MAKE DIFFERENT 'DIALECTS' OF MORSE CODE
The morse code was invented by Samuel. B.F. Morse , the same person who created the telegraph. It was created in 1836, and later on was used in wars, to send messages to the allies without the enemies knowing what it means. It was decoded by people who would listen to the small of long 'beeps' and - using the morse key- translate the message.

The modern uses for the morse code is mainly for when someone needs urgent help. e.g. when it is really dark, one can use a torch to send light signals for people to read, translate, and then save them
You can never say for sure right now, but it can be assumed that the morse code would be, in the future, used by allies in a war, to help save thusands of lives. Or also to save someone from being trapped or stuck somewhere. From the fast rate of our technology development, we wont be able to tell right now what it's going to be used for, as in the future, there can be hundreds of uses for the morse code.
