- It is an expectation that people might have about every person of a particular group.
- The type of expectation can vary; it can be, for instance, an expectation about the group's personality, preferences, or ability.

- Cultural stereotypes play an important role in our society because they are a way to depict how a nation views other cultures, nations or even themselves.
- They also represent a humorous manner in which someone can mock themselves, their or a different nation, culture, government etc. without any major repercussions.

Although cultural stereotypes played a crucial role throughout history and were heavily used in the past, we are still using them till this day.
They are really influencing the Internet, especially in places in which people communicate between each other, such as forums, comment sections. They are often used to show that someone knows something about that particular person's culture or simply tease people, and in rare cases discriminate them, more or
less.
