Dear Tom,
Just a quick note to let you know about the trip to London. It was terrible!
Can you believe it? When we turned up at the hotel on our first day, the receptionist told me they’d given our room to somebody else even though I’d reserved and paid for it in advance. I was furious! They offered us another room but it was right up on the top floor - no telly, no phone.
And to make things worse, they keep refusing to pay me back the money they charged me for the extras, so I’ve sent them a letters I told them if I don’t get the money back, I’ll take them to court!
Anyway, write back soon!

Situatie:
Omdat je bent geslaagd voor je examen hebben je ouders een leuke verassing voor je. Je mag met je Engelse vriend/vriendin, woonachtig in Dover, naar het pretpark de Efteling inclusief een overnachting in het mooie hotel ter plaatse. Je ouders betalen voor het hele weekendje; zakgeld voor iets lekkers, voor een frietje ’s avonds, de trein- en busreis, de overnachting en natuurlijk het toegangskaartje. Ook betalen je ouders de kosten voor de overtocht van je vriend/vriendin. Hij/zij mag een weekje blijven zodat jullie rustig van het weekendje kunnen genieten zonder te moeten haasten. Meteen schrijf je hem/haar een brief om dit goede nieuws mede te delen!!
Inhoud brief:
• Nodig je vriend/vriendin uit om het pretparkweekend bij te wonen.
• Leg uit wat de Efteling is.
• Vermeld in de brief waarom je dit weekend cadeau krijgt.
• Vertel op welke manier jullie naar de Efteling zullen gaan.
• Zeg dat je vriend/vriendin totaal geen kosten hoeft te maken omdat je ouders alles voor jullie betalen, inclusief zijn/haar overtocht.
• Maak duidelijk dat je vriend/vriendin de hele week kan blijven.
• Zorg dat je de exacte datum noemt wanneer het weekend plaatsvindt.
