Introduction
Judaism and Hinduism are two ancient religions. They are known to be the two dominant religions of that time. Judaism and Hinduism are as well two of the most known religions in the world. Both are in many ways similar but also distinct in several aspects.
Judaism
Judaism is the complex phenomenon of a total way of life for the Jewish people, comprising theology, law, and innumerable cultural traditions. Judaism has been around 3500 years old. The religion of Judaism believes they are the choosen people by God.
Abraham is believed to be the father of the Jewish people. Unlike leaders in many other faiths, a rabbi is not a priest and has no special connection with god. Another difference between Judaism and Hinduism is the belief in the afterlife. Jewish holy books mainly talk about life in Earth, and rarely mention anything similar to a heaven or hell. The Jewish doctrine is based on the ten commandments as spelt out in the Old Testament.
Followers of Judaism are known as jews. Judasim however is not also a reliogion but a way of life. People can follow their culture without believing in their religion. The judaism culture involves jews to eat food that is Kosher. And as well participate in certain events such as a Bar Mitzvah and Hannukah.
Hinduism
Hinduism is one of the largest religions in the world, there are alot of customs and traditions coming from this one religion. Having originated in the Indian subcontinent in 1500 BC. , it has spread selectively to other parts of the world. Hindus major beliefs include reincarnation and karma.
For many Hindus religion is a matter of practice rather than beliefs. Hinduism are a monothestic religion. However, they mostly worship more than one God. Their God's name is Brahman, Hindus believe he is the universe. Hinduism base their teachings of Vedas. Their ultamite goal of a Hindu's life is salvation and reincarnation. This involves karma and how they act here on Earth.
The Hinduism culture involves many different ideas and beliefs for example just like the Jews they are restriced to what they eat. Hindus have arrangeed marraiges after a women is married she is to have a red dot on her forehead to show she is married. Hindus as well have many peircings so they can wear many jewlrey.
