Reservation is the process of facilitating people in education, scholarship,jobs etc. that were faced with historical injustice.

How much reservation is given in India?

The current scenario of reservation in India is 15% seat are reserved for SC while 7.5% seats are reserved for ST while 27% seats are reserved for OBC and other 50.5% seats are open to all i.e. general, SC, ST & OBC.

Reservation provides a level playing field as it is difficult for the backward sections who were historically deprived of education, skills, and economic mobility to suddenly start competing with those who had access to those means foe centuries.

Nowadays the previously advantaged communities have becoming disadvantaged to a large extent due to reservation. Reservation brings down the economic growth rate of the country as it reduces the efficiency of the labour.

Reservation should be there but not on the basis of caste but it should be on the basis of economic status.Provide an opportunity for student to earn while they study those students who are economically deprived.There should be fair justice for the people who are not able to fulfill their basic needs.
