Academic goal is to be able to keep a good GPA throughout my semester.
Professional goal is to become a travel nurse, and change as many lives as possible.
I interviewed my aunt, Leticia Lazcano. Barry graduate of class of 2008. She currently works at Mount Sinai Medical Center as a nurse oncologist.
She actually was the person that inspired me to go into the nursing program.
Many people say the best way to get through nursing school is with study groups, and that is something that surprised me.
My next step into my career path is to register for spring semester, and continue my education. One step closer to the dream.
To further my career i need to start to mentally and physically prepare for the nursing program.
I want to the be voice for everyone scared to open up about their issues. I believe i can help change this issue in the world one person at a time.
A societal issue that is important to me is the arising problems with mental health, in the community. Children are not being taught the importance of mental health and mental illness in the world. People are still scared to use these words in public.
ORI- 100 has taught me to better manage my time, i will take that with me throughout the rest of my years at Barry and though my career.
My short term and long term goals all lead to my one goal which is to travel the world and help the helpless. I will carry these values with me everywhere I am, at Barry, at work, and anywhere in the world I go. These values are what made me choose medicine, and helping people.
I want to leave this world knowing I made some type of a difference in someone’s life.
