  • Ruby Bridges married Malcom Hall and had 3 sons. their names were Sean Hall, Craig Hall and Christopher Hall.
  • Her parents names are Lucille Bridges and Abon Bridges.
  • Ruby Bridges grew up on the farm her parents and her grandparents sharecropped in Mississippi.
  • In 2014 a statue of Ruby Bridges was unveiled outside the William Frantz School.
  • Ruby Bridges was the first african-american child to desegregate the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in Louisiana during the New Orleans desegregation crisis on Nov. 14, 1960.
