The genre of this book is Realistic Fiction. The characters are like real people, and it is easy to relate to their problems.
This book is realistic fiction, because it has a realistic plot. For example, my character was handicapped and bullied. It is also easy to relate to the characters' problems.
One of the main characters is Jamie who is a middle school student and is in a wheelchair. Jamie is competing in the World's Funniest Kid competition along with 3 other kids. Another main Character is Uncle Frankie. Uncle Frankie is Jamie's number one fan, and helps him with anything. He runs a burger shop on the boardwalk. That also happens to be where Jamie does all of his comedy practice.
The theme of this story is that good friends will always have your back. In the story when Jamie was bullied by a classmate, his friends always defended him.
