WELCOME

Welcome to Your Hillside Hideaway!

Kaleb & Erin

Seth & Lisa

Hello! We are Seth and Lisa Blankenship and we are your local hosts. We live in the area with our 2 boys and are so excited you are able to visit! If you need any

recommendations or accommodations please let us know!

Welcome to our home!

We are Kaleb and Erin Blankenship, and we’re so glad you’re staying with us and visiting the mountains we love so much.

Kaleb is originally from here (grew up just down the road in Buckeye) and Erin is from Arkansas (but loves the mountains just as much as Kaleb!).

We have two beautiful little girls that keep us quite busy, but with what free time we have, we love traveling. We are so fortunate to have had the

opportunity to travel around the world staying primarily in AirBnBs. When the opportunity came to host our own, we jumped at it!

Our goal was to bring in the very best features of all the different places we’ve stayed while making it our own. We tried to think of everything for the whole family so you can just have a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

We hope you love this home – and these

mountains – as much as we do. Please come back and stay with us again!

HOUSE INFORMATION

House Information

Stovetop - Notice!

The knobs on the stove turn with ease. Please keep the stove free of objects when not cooking, and always check to make sure knobs are off after leaning against the stove (like when using the

microwave). Enjoy cooking in the beautiful kitchen!

Setting the alarm

ADT service is not installed.

However, you may utilize the

security system for a personal alert.

To enable while in the home, first close front, two back, and den doors.

Key in “1989” and press “stay.”

The system will beep for a bit before arming.

To disarm, key in “1989” again.

Hot tub instructions

We treat the hot tub with natural enzymes to avoid using harsh chemicals. This is much better for your skin. The lack of chemicals allows the water to turn a slight green tint. This is due to copper in the water that oxidizes over time (there’s an advanced filtration system on the water, so it’s normal amounts of copper, not excess). Rest assured, we clean the hot tub, test the appropriate component levels, and treat it with enzymes between every guest. It's perfectly safe to use and we hope you love it!

To turn jets on/off press the button with the jet icon. To turn light on/off press the button with the light icon. Use the arrows to increase or decrease temperature. Do not exceed 104 degrees. Turn jets and lights off when not in use. Replace cover.

TOXIN-FREE

HIDEAWAY

Toxin-Free Hideaway

Welcome to your home away from home!

Five years ago, Erin experienced a health issue that started our family on a journey toward cleaner living. That meant taking a hard look at what we brought into our home. We realized so many of the products we were using on a daily basis had ingredients that were literally making us sick and tired. One room at a time we switched it all and haven’t looked back.

When we decided to create a space for others to enjoy while

visiting our beautiful mountains, it was important to us to provide guests with the same products we use in our own home – all are plant based and toxin free!

What's provided

Thieves Hand Soap

Thieves Laundry Soap

Thieves Dish Soap

Lavender Shampoo & Conditioner

Lavender Mint Shampoo & Conditioner

Morning Start Body Wash

Essential Oil Diffuser

Lavender and Citrus Fresh Essential Oils

Chlorine Free cleaned hot tub

It's a total upgrade

It’s not just a product switch, but a total upgrade. All the products we use are free from synthetic fragrance, parabens, nano particles, formaldehyde, glycols, triclosan, SLS, synthetic dyes or colorings, etc.… if it cannot be derived from nature, it’s not in there!

And just about everything is infused with quality essential oils; so, it smells amazing and has incredible benefits for the whole body!

Toxin-Free Hideaway

Things might be different

These products might look, smell and feel different than what you’re used to. For example, because our soaps and laundry

detergent don’t contain an ingredient called SLS, you won’t notice many suds. No worries, things are getting clean!

A few safety tips

We’ve provided you with two super gentle essential oils; so please use without concern. However, it’s always smart to follow a few of safety tips.

Keep oils away from eyes, nose and all other sensitive areas. If you do get an oil in a sensitive area, please do not flush with water.

We’ve provided carrier oil (olive oil) in the kitchen that you can use to calm down any irritation.

Keep all oils away from children. We use oils around and on our kiddos all the time, but keep them put away when not in use.

How to use your diffuser

Because essential oils have seriously changed our lives, we’ve included a couple of our favorite Young Living essential oils and a diffuser for you to enjoy. You’ve maybe used essential oils from a health food store or TJMaxx, but know that YL essential oils pack a real punch! Because they are just oils (no added fillers here), less is really more. Please start low and go slow.

Feel free to take our Desert Mist diffuser into your bedroom at night. Add 2-3 drops of lavender to enjoy a great night’s sleep. Or, keep it in the kitchen or living area and try 3-4 drops of citrus fresh to freshen the home. Diffusing can lift moods, calm kiddos, boost immune systems, and help everyone sleep better.

*Please see usage instructions next to diffuser.

Less is more

The personal care and cleaning products are SUPER concentrated. We’ve prediluted things like the laundry soap, dish soap, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash because they were designed to be, and it makes the product last and our $ stretch all while still offering you a great product.

We love that going green can actually be really affordable!
