Yale and Torrio

Al was introduced to Frank Yale at 18 years old. Yale was already an up and coming gangster when they met. Yale made Capone a bouncer at his bar.

Capone was very hot headed and got into a fight at the bar. He was cut across the face with a bottle, then was called "Scarface."

Torrio served as his mentor, taught him book keeping, and all things criminal

Torrio eventually moved to Chicago to expand his empire

Changes in outlook

Capone married Mae Coughlin and had a son. This caused Capone to consider making an honest living.

They lived in Baltimore, MD, where he intended to become a book keep and being on the right side of the law

An offer he couldn't refuse

Torrio called Capone and asked if he could help him run his mob empire in Chicago.

In 1925, Torrio left the business due to an assassination attempt and left his entire empire to Capone
