Lorena oldest Sister and Lorna youngest are Cuban Ballerina Sisters.Lorena was drawn to ballet after years of watching her mother Lupe Calzadilla.Herself wanted to dance just like her mother and become a profesional ballerina like her.
Born in Havana,Cuba
Her mother performed in the National Ballet School of Cuba,so that made Lorena want to audition there. She was 10 when she made it in the school. The National Ballet School of Cuba was held by the legendary ballerina Alicia Alonso;Lorena's favorite dancer.
Lorna's course of study was a bit slight herself, she was more of a gymnast. Then when she started watching her sister dance she was mesmerized at that moment she wanted to dance too.Their mother was so encouraging to them, she showed them who
they were as dancers and their training taught them how to
bring that person out of them.Lorena's and Lorna's mother
feared if both of her duaghters would become to competative with each other. The girls believed home was home for them.Contrairy to what their peers though they were family first.

Lorena and Lorna
Lorena and Lorna's Father Jose Lorenzo Feijoo is Divorced to their mother because of money purposes.Their divorce did not affect much of the Feijoo sisters life. One thing Lorena remembers strongly is when she was four she saw her mother perform at the Cuban National Ballet where she was left backstage amazed over costumes, dancers, and the performances being performed there.Lorena's ballerina training came primarly from her mother, and Lorna's training also came from her mother and sister.
This school located in Havana Cuba with approximately 3,000 students is the biggest ballet school in the world and the most prestigious ballet school in Cuba.Founded in 1931, where the prima ballerina assoluta, Alicia Alonso her former husband Fernando Alonso and his brother Alberto received their earliest ballet classes.
The sisters training there was very intense, they didn't just danced but they would have to know french language and piano. They did character dances, learned to read music, folklore,African dances, historical dances, and salon dances. This school allowed them to make their first step towards their Ballet Career.
