Approach to leadership in building barefoot & how it fits within the concept

Servant Leadership

  • Served rural people instead of leading them
  • Shares power
  • Puts the need of others first
  • Helps people develop and perform as highly as possible

  • Wanted to help them to become better people, and give them the tools to make the best out of every situation

  • Tried to give the basis of values so that the rural poor could grow their “behavior” and “activities”
  • Charisma
  • Compassion
  • Character
  • Beliefs

Approach to leadership in The Breakfast Club & how it fits within the concept

BFC

  • Train foresight, stewardship and persuasion by creating and organizing events and asking for donations

  • Trying to:
  • not be authority figure, but provide direction, inspire and motivate others to take initiative themselves
  • develop ourselves in practicing servant leadership

  • Instead of focusing on raising the biggest amount of money, by using our humbleness we focus on raising the quantity of meals
