At North Side School, every single class is greeted at my door.
I invite students into my classroom to learn, create and most of all to enjoy their experience with art.
Picasso believed, “every child is an artist”, this is very true!
A child will not hesitate to take initiative, to explore, but most of all they are not afraid to have fun creating!
In the art room, I foster an environment for each and every one of my students to come and enjoy their time creating new works of art.
By viewing this slide show I hope you will share in the pride I have for each of my amazing artists!
I tell every student at North side school,
“in art, we are unique and we have fun”, and I cannot wait to greet them at my door again soon!

The Willets Road Art Program encourages our students to express their creativity, experiment with new art forms and use art as a vehicle of communication to express their ideas and imagination. We are proud to see our students grow artistically and creatively throughout the year both in school and through online learning. We hope you enjoy seeing how beautifully our students have been able to continue to express themselves through the visual arts.

Willets Road Chorus Works On Music Literacy
Using the first letter of the space and line notes, EGBDF and FACE, we created sentences to help us learn how to read music.

Once we learned the notes on the staff, we were able to identify them as Solfege Syllables. This will help us learn how to sight sing, the ability to sing music at sight, without preparation.

We invite you to share in our virtual Celebration of the Visual Arts. The children of Willets Road School have created masterpieces through creativity, imagination, and exploration. They came to art class this year with enthusiasm, shared their vision, told their stories, and have created one of a kind beautiful works of art.
We hope you enjoy the artworks created in our classrooms and in our virtual online learning art room this year. We are very proud art teachers who are inspired everyday by your
creative children.
