My final project is a collection of short poems that I wrote inspired by people that I talked to who struggle with borderline personality disorder just like I do. I created a blog on tumblr and posted the poems there so the muses have access to it.
The themes are the following: mental health (borderline personality disorder, depression, suicide), identity, appearence, motherhood, substance abuse and love.
I reached out to four followers that follow me on my other blog (tumblr) and asked them if they wanted to share their stories with me. Some of them I already knew but I got to know even better. I talked to them on the phone for 15-30 minutes, after each call I wrote a poem about them.

Excerpt from "Colorful Molly"
"So she drives to the store
Feeling herself rot down to her core
Knowing that she can’t take this anymore
And that with the help of a youtube tutorial and dye
She will be able to rise.
She knows it’s all in her head
And that she should go see the doctor instead
Instead of going, she will dye her hair red."
