A - The Ancien Régime was a political and social system in France during the Late Middle Ages.

B - The Bastille was a prison that was broken into on July 14, 1789.

C - The National Assembly refused to give up until a constitution was created.

D - The National Assembly proclaimed the Declaration of Rights of Man and Citizen.

E - The Estates General was the closest thing to a French Parliament.

F - The French Revolution occurred between 1789 and 1799.

G - 16,000 enemies were killed by a guillotine.

H - A bad hailstorm caused widespread hunger.

I - The French Revolution was influenced by the idea of authority and inalienable rights.

J - The Jacobins wanted the creation of a republic.

K - King Louis XVI was executed because he betrayed France.

L - Leopold II was the king of the Roman Empire and also Marie Antoinette's brother.
