Evidence suggests that us as Austrlians have to eat more fruits, vegetables/legumes, wholegrains, reduced fat milk, yoghurt, cheese, fish, seafood, and more.
The last healthy eating thing was the Healthy Eating Pyramid, that had vegetables and fruits as our most important food, however that wasn't accurate so they created the healthy eating plate, which shows that wholegrains are most important, by just a scratch.
