TKAM Chapter 27 Summary

By: Violet Gonzalez

Summary:

A lot has happened over the couple of months in Maycomb but things are starting to die down after the death of Tom Robinson. He seems to be "forgotten" now because no one talks about the incident anymore and nothing every occurs anymore. Maycomb is back to normal. Little things seem to be changing like Halloween being held in the high school as well as Scout and Jem becoming more mature. Mr. Ewell is not getting hired in any jobs and when he does he gets fired! Mr. Ewell continues to have a negative attitude towards people in the town.

Summary

Summary

Since the case and the death of Tom Robinson, Mr. Ewell seems to resent Helen Robinson. When Mrs. Robinson was walking through the main road, The Ewell family started to chunk at her. Helen then told Mr. Link and Mr. Link went over to the Ewell's place and threatened to arrested. The next day no one chunked at Helen but when she looked behind her she saw that Mr. Ewell was following her and whispering foul words to her, up until she reached Mr. Links property. Mr. Link then saw that Ewell followed Helen to Mr. Links place and then threatened to have him arrested for assault. Later on, Aunt Alexandra seems to make the connection that Mr. Ewell seems to resent everyone involved with the case.
