Edward D. Anderson was a widely recognized music educator and church musician in Northern Colorado and the Midwest, United States. His career extended over seven decades, including 37 years as Director of Choral Music at Colorado State University, 26 years as choral director at Trinity Lutheran Church, and 21 years as choral director at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. He founded the Bach Festival at St. Luke’s that continues today.
Ed Anderson influenced the lives and careers of countless young people through his focus on music education, spiritual enrichment through sacred music innovation, and through performance. To honor his legacy the Edward D. Anderson Choral Scholars Fund was established in 2011, providing stipends to young professionals and college and high school students. Locations for scholarship recipients correlate with places where Professor Anderson studied and/or taught from Minnesota and North Dakota, to Texas and Colorado.
In the fall of 2017, the program was expanded to recognize younger musicians with the inclusion of Centennial Children’s Chorus. To be eligible, a singer must be a returning Sala Voce member exhibiting excellence in musicianship, leadership and citizenship. Congratulations to CCC’s EDA Choral Scholars.
In 1994, a CCC music scholarship fund was established with a designated donation to CCC.
To qualify for this scholarship, the CCC alumnus must be a music major or minor and be an upperclassman in college. Other considerations in choosing the recipient are their length of membership and their musical contributions to CCC.
Jack Paschke is a Senior at Colorado State University majoring in computer science with a minor in vocal music. Jack began singing with CCC in 2007 and has continued choral singing throughout high school and university. He currently performs as part of CSU’s Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. James Kim. Last year he traveled with them throughout Italy to share American choral music with international audiences. Jack hopes to combine his love of music with a career in technology to improve accessibility and reach of music.

Primo Coro, means First Choir, and is CCC’s Choir preparatory program for students entering kindergarten through 2nd grade. Singing, learning, and fun come together in this non-auditioned choir for a lighthearted yet rewarding introduction to the world of choral music. Primo Coro has fall and spring sessions and presents an informal concert for families at the end of each session.
Jubilate means Joyful Voices and is CCC’s entry-level choir. It is composed of singers in grades 3-5. These young choristers focus their studies on vocal training, note reading, and performance skills. They perform in the traditional concert schedule.
