It is important we follow these rules so we can be safe while doing labs.
Certain rules are given to us for our safety and we should not try to skip or avoid certain rules
Always remember to have fun while staying safe.
Do not wear loose sleeves as they tend to get in the way.
Dressing
Tie lose hair back.
Wear closed toe shoes.
Prospect
Wearing closed toe shoes will keep your feet safe, just in case some glass breaks or some chemicals splash and end up on the floor. If you have open toe shoes, glass might get into your shoes or chemicals.
Long hair is nice but can get in the way when doing a lab. With hair in your eyes you might miss a step in the lab or your hair might get into some of the chemicals and into your eyes, face and even mouth.
If you have loose sleeves, and are working with some type of fire. Your sleeves could catch on fire and not only will your nice shirt be ruined but you put yourself and others in danger.

You should never joke around when carrying dangerous objects or hot equipment. If you and your friend are trying to scare each other and be funny with these things both of you can get very badly hurt in the end and the damage can be fatal.
Heating any chemical can be dangerous and to keep the safety of yourself and your peers, you should never point the mouth of the tube to yourself or others. The chemicals could shoot out to you or your friend.

Remember to report any spills or broken glass to the teacher right away!
Wash your eyes for 15 minutes if chemicals get in them.
Know where the first aid and emergency aids are.
