2. We live in Russia.

  • Regular routines.

1. I work every day.

2. We go to the movies on the weekend.

Negative

  • Negative

We form negatives with the pronouns I, You, We, They by placing don't + the base form of the verb. We use negative pronouns he, she, it we put doesn't and we eliminate the verb to be. Example:

  • I don’t work a hospital.
  • He doesn’t work a hospital.

Interrogative

  • Interrogative

We use interrogative in the simple present to ask about things that are facts, or regular routines. We form interrogative simple present with do/does + subject + base form.

Example:

1. Do you like soccer?

2. Does She live in a big apartment?

  • We form short answers with Yes/No + subject + do/does/don’t/doesn’t.

Example:

Yes, I do.

No, I don’t.

Yes, she does.

No, she doesn’t.
