Contrasts and Contradictions

in Pride and Prejudice

Lesson Background

The

Lesson

  • at the end of the year SEC 5 --> we just got back from Spring Break
  • start of Volume 3
  • using this section of the novel as a Signpost lesson so the vocab sheet is a one time occurrence
  • students will have some experience with the Signpost, but still need some assistance

WARNING!

The summary of the book is going to be long. Please take into account that not everybody has read Pride and Prejudice, so we needed to create a detailed summary for our activity to work. This would also likely be semi-necessary in the classroom as a review for the students and would likely be more engaging for students who are currently reading the novel as we could then ask them to help us create the summary. Please keep this in mind. Thanks!
