Day 2
Day 1
I enrolled in this subject, without completely understanding or knowing what its going to happen. It´s a new continent, a new country, a new university, a new subject,
a NEW LIFE.
But as I read the overview of this subject I felt
„That´s what I WANT!“
I love surprises, so let start my time in Melbourne with a lot of surprises and I had the feeling, that this subject would be one of
many good ones! I started my
own journey with trusting
my INTUITION!
For me this Tutorial began before the class started. While I was kind of lost at the campus, not sure where to find the room, I met a girl who was also looking for the room. We directly get together and found the room together.
A new friendship started?
When David started about to talk about different intelligences, as like the intelligence of the body, I was thinking. Was being lost at the campus made for finding another lost body to get together. Was there some intelligence in the body or in the universe which used the magic of connecting, when you’re aware of people around you?
The intelligence of the body. I danced for 10 years when I was young, but I stopped at the end of high school, because I had to focus on school. I started to go to a fitness studio, because studying on a stepper was much easier for my then just sitting on a chair, still and silent trying to focus. Was I using different kind of intelligences? The intelligence of my analytic brain and my moving body, did I combine these both for
creating the for me best way of learning?
A few years later I started yoga and used my intelligence of my body while dancing for my body movement in doing yoga.
How can I use this intelligence of my body?
How can I combine it with my other intelligences?
" half time of facts "
What we teach and learn today will probably change and be wrong in 10 years.
When I heard that it made me think. I think it´s true, but then I started to think about my job as a children´s yoga teacher. I teach them mindfulness, awareness, social behavior, self-confidence and much more. But I was happy, that I am teaching them skills, which aren´t wrong in 10 years. I teach them skills which will grow with them and hopefully help them to cope with changing facts.
I am looking forward to learn more about the different types of intelligence and how we can connect them. I want to teach that not just for me, but also to my little yoga kids
and hopefully even more.
"It´s not easy to carry an elephant around the world, but it´s easy to do it with information." - David Shea
I thought about what I just
learned in my subject "Principles of
Positive Psychology" two days ago:
An Intervention begins with a conversation!
And I did. I talked about connecting
and sharing information with my
housemate who´s a gardener.
What can we learn from each other as
a psychologist and a gardener?
