- With the Red Scare this act was mainly enforced to prevent Communism from being spread through out the country
The Cold War originated from a growing disagreement we had with the Soviet Union. This caused the United States to be in a state of panic. This panic is better known as the "Red Scare". Many people suffered from this in many aspects, due to this annoying inconvenience. During this era, many smaller battle were being fought as well among African American and Women.
- Like women, African Americans were able to take steps in soceity
- " They filled new roles in military and higher-paying jobs in the civilian economy and pushed their demand for civil rights."- Of the People
- Similar to women after the war things went to how they were before the began
- African Americans pushed even more for justice consdiering that the fought and suffered for the betterment of the country
- This lead to many court cases such as Morgan vs. Virgina and Smith vs. Allwright
- During the " Red Scare " many people who worked in the film industry were committed of being Communists , thus ending many of their careers
- One of these screen writers Dalton Trumbo
- After being Blacklisted, Dalton moved to Mexico to write the screen play for " Roman Hoilday "
- Due to his cirumstance, he used fellow screenwriter Ian Hunter as a front man for his writing
- "Chris Trumbo and Tim Hunter, sons of both screenwriters, approached the WGA in 2010 to propose that Dalton Trumbo be recognised as the original writer of "Roman Holiday." " - The Telegraph
