1920's

1920s

The 1920's was an interesting era full of social changes which where common bringing in the rise of consumer culture, Mass Entertainment, Gender roles, Hair and clothes style. Also Jazz music began rising through the 1920's giving this era the name "Roaring 20's". During this time, the economy was going bad but the people choose to ignore it because of all these new changes, the U.S socially encourage many to keep a false sense of economic stability.

In the 1920's there was a time called the "Cultural Civil War" were the pluralistic society fought over issues like The Klu Klux Klan, Foreign immagration, Prohibition, Women's role, and Race.

The 1940's

  • During the early 1940s, Nazi Germany was still fighting strong, so citiens from America thught fighting in the war meant the American Dream. To spread the concept of the American Dream whilst fighting in the war.
  • Besides the war, in America, in the U.S. the American Dream was to be finicially stable and protected (being wealthy and have protection)
  • After WWII ended, Ameeicans dreamed of having a home and be happy with their famalies.
  • The American Dream after the war to have home ownership and increase products in the stockmarket to imporve life at home or anywhere.

  • A common household item the U.S. was a house phone,
  • The atomic bomb was a U.S. war technology to where even the vice president Herry S. Truman didn't know about it until he became president.
  • A not so common thing to have at home was a typewriter. It was expensive to purchase one so those who had one at home were considered rich.

- Though the Nazis were bad (not all of them), german scientists were intelligent, so much that the U.S. and Allies had to "borrow" their technology.

- An example of the night vision. German soldiers were equipped with this and ecnahed their rifles. They were called "night hunters."

- Jet Engines weere inroduced by the Germans, but no invented by them.

- Fritz X, was an anti-shop bomb, and thank the germans for guided missiles. These misseles were controlled by a joystick radio-command system.

The 1960's was an era of change in democratic ideals, Mexican Americans protested discrimination in voting, education, and employment, Feminists demanded equal job oppourtunities and the end of discrimination, and also African Americans protested segregation and poverty. This was an era of protest and social change.

In 1964 President Lindon Johnson launched the Great Society Program that aids education, Medicare help, Urban Renewal, Attack on disease and more, but the events of the Vietnam War and other protests caused it to recieve political backlash that resulted in the Republic Party for the next decade.

1980s

The 1980's were full of new styles that consisted of big jewlery, bright clothes, polka dot dresses, and other vibrant wacky clothes. Pop, Hip Hop, and Rock music also had a huge rise during this era that drasticlly changed the type of music that we listen to as of today marking this decade as a massive entertaiment and fashion time point

During this time President Reagan adressed economic problems like Inflation and tax cuts, The U.S was in a bit of a economic problem but soon with the idea of "supply side" economics that had the U.S hold a large amount of goods encouraging the people to buy more helping the economy grow.

2000s

  • In the early 2000s, a terrorist attack occured in the world trade center.
  • Both towers were hit by the 2 planes that the terriost had control on.
  • Nearly 3,000 people died during the incident, including those that tried to save the people in the towers.

After the 9/11 attacks there was the "Stock Market Crash" that occoured when NASDAQ fell from 5,048 to 1,139 between the years 2000 and 2002, In 2009 the market recovered
