What is Salat-ul-Witr?
- The word Witr means odd.
- It is a Sunnah prayer.
- It is a Tatawwo prayer.
- Usually performed after Ishaa' prayer after finishing Qiyam-ul-Layl.
- Prophet usually used to pray 3 rakaats or lesser than 11.
How to pray salat-ul-Witr
How to pray salat-ul-Witr
- It consists of 3 rakaats.
- How to pray:
- Pray it like Salat-ul-Maghrib.
- Pray like salat-ul-Maghrib but without the first Tashahhud in the first rakaah instead Do the Tashahhud in the last rakaah if you are praying 3 rakaat.
- Pray 2 rakaat first and then do tasleem.
- then start praying the third rakaat
What is Duaa-ul-Qunoot?
- What makes Salat-ul-Witr special is Duaa-ul-Qunoot.
- During the 3rd rakaat of Salat-ul -Witr.
- We can recite this Duaa either before or after rukoo.

THE 1st TYPE OF DUAA-UL-QUNOOT
- In the 3rd rakaat after reciting Surat-ul-Fatiha and another surah,you raise your hands up to the ears and say:ALLAHU AKBAR & SEMI'ALLAHU AHAD.
- Now raise your hands to your chest and say Duaa-ul-Qunoot and complete your prayer.
