Research Proposal

Comments

Comments

1. Overall, students did just as well with their proposal and their oral report.

2. Loss of points depend on how precise you were with your explanations. ("I found a lot of information on the Internet" vs "I found an article by Professor B. Simpson titled 'How to do the Bartman" on Érudit").

3. Reminder: 0.5 point is removed per mistake and up to 30 % can be removed from the final mark.

4. Students who have received a grade of 75% or below must schedule an appointment to discuss the research essay proposal and future assignments.

From Proposal to Annotated Bibliography

Once you have determined the approximate path you must take to reach your goal, identify:

1. Whether the sources listed in your research essay proposal are still relevant

2. Additional types of sources you will need to support your ideas.

Next classes

The lab periods for the classes leading up to the due date (March 28) should be used to identify the ideal path for you to reach your goal and the sources you will need.

Do not take sources just because they are credible - they must be relevant to your work!

Lab (HC2160)

Lab

1. Review proposal results and comments.

2. Identify the type of sources you will need for your essay.

3. Start (or continue!) your research.
