Please sit by someone new!

Happy national Forutune Cookie day!

What is your response to the fortune? What does your response indicate about your values, beliefs, or what you think is important?

Our aims

Goals

In order to realize our 2020 vision, our program will focus on developing educators who are committed to producing strong student achievement outcomes with their students, lead in a culturally responsive manner, and are proud to be part of TFA-KC.

 To this end, we will work together to reach the following goals:

  • 100% of students will grow at least 1 year and 50% of students will grow at least 1.5 years according to grade-level standards.
  • 100% of students have access to instruction that regularly strengthens their understanding of cultural identity and diversity

VISUALIZATION

VISUALIZATION

  • What is the purpose of our cohort? How does this connect to our goals?
  • When our cohort is at its highest functioning, what will be true?
  • What will your experience be as a member of the team? What will you see, hear, do? What will your teammates see, hear, do?
  • How will our team function and operate together?

Visualization share-out

How will our team function and operate together?

“Values describe how we intend to operate, on a day-to-day basis, as we pursue our vision. . . . Values are best expressed in terms of behavior: If we act as we should, what would an observer see us doing? . . . If values are made a central part of the organization’s shared vision effort, and put out in full view, they become like a figurehead on a ship: a guiding symbol of the behavior that will help move people toward the vision.” (Senge et al., 1994, p. 302)
