FIVE FUNCTION
OF COMMUNICATION
There are five functions of communication. These are control, social interaction, motivation, emotional expression, and information dissemination.
The Social Interaction Function of Communication is the most obvious, the most often used, and the most popular. Just think of how many times people interact with other people by talking to them, conversing with them, laughing with them, and just enjoying each other’s company
Emotional expression is part of the emotion regulation process and functions as a way to communicate internal states to others.

DISSEMINATION
Process of sharing new or existing information with others. It can be done verbally, through writing, or via technology. Dissemination is a key component of effective communication,
CONTROL
The major functions of communications control within the z/TPF system are: Handling of different communications protocols.
Motivation is the third Function of Communication. This is when the Speaker's purpose is to persuade or try to persuade another person to change his/her opinion, attitude, or behavior.
MOTIVATION
