Thoracotomy and Thoracoscopy is a surgery about the chest.
During a Thoracotomy, a surgeon makes an incision in the chest wall between your ribs, usually to operate on your lungs.
Thoracoscopy is a medical procedure involving internal examination, biopsy, and/or resection of disease or masses within the pleural cavity and thoracic cavity.
To perform a thoracotomy, the patient must lies on his or her side with one arm raised. An incision is cut into the skin of the ribcage. Muscle layers are cut, and a rib may be removed to gain access to the cavity. Re-tractors hold the ribs apart, exposing the lung. After any repairs are made, the cut rib is replaced and held in place with special materials. Layers of muscle and skin are stitched.
During the procedure, the patient is anesthetized, or put under general sedation. Several small incisions are made into the chest, and the thoracoscope is inserted. The camera at the end of the thoracoscope allows the surgeon to view images of the lungs and chest cavity on a video monitor. The incisions are then closed with sutures or staples.
My procedure connects with the organization chart by making incisions in the chest and removing/moving organs out of the way.

Recovery Time
You must balance exercise with periods of rest until you regain your strength. This can take from 7-14 days; In 4-6 weeks you should be back to full activity and feel more like yourself.
This surgery might interfere with Homeostasis because depending on how bad your condition we might have to remove a lung, making it hard to breathe alone.

My procedure is Thoracotomy vs Thoracoscopy it relates to the integumentary and the respiratory system. In the start of the procedure you must make an incision in the chest wall between your ribs. The skin is also called the cutaneous membrane, this membrane contains multiple layers: Epidermis, dermis, and hypo dermis. The skin also consists of two kind of tissue, the epithelial and the connective tissue. These incisions are used so that a camera can look into the lungs and detect anything wrong with them. After the procedure the skin is stitched back together.
