Belmont University
Belmont is a private Christian university that was founded as a women's college in 1890 by Susan L. Heron and Ida B. Hood.
Over the years it has continued to grow it's programs and enrollment, and was declared an official university in 1991.

Lila D Bunch Library occupies about 56,000 square feet of space with four floors of resources.
The library is named after the wife of Goebel Bunch, who was a Nashville businessman and a trustee at Belmont College. He donated money to help with the construction of the library.

The library staff consists of 8 full-time librarians, 8 full-time staff members, and part-time student helpers. Librarians are considered faculty and are on a non-tenure 12 month faculty track.
There are service desks located on 1st and the 2nd floors of the library where patrons can find assistance. During the fall and spring semesters the library operates on a 24/7 service for students.
Services offered are Printing, Interlibrary Loan, and a Practice Presentation Room.
Lila D Bunch Library's collection consists of an estimated 400,000 items including around 180,000 physical materials and 260,000 eBook titles, database subscriptions, and full-text periodicals.
The library uses the system Alma/Primo by ExLibris for cataloging and electronic resources.
There is a special collections room on the 3rd floor of the library and a closed stacks section in the basement. Both areas are accessible by appointment only. The library also has around 30,000 microfiche documents.
There is also a separate music library that features over 12,000 music CDs and albums and around 17,000 musical scores.

The online resources are grouped into four guide types: Course, General Purpose, Subject, and Research Tools
The website is easy to navigate and also features a digital repository, Interlibrary Loan, and the Archives & Special Collections. The library's collection development policy is also made available on the website.
The library was very comfortable and well lit. It had a small feel to it despite being four floors. All of the library collections and seating are located in the middle and left sides of the building while the right side was for special areas and offices.
The music library and the technology center are located on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor houses most of the collection including a large periodicals section which consisted of a lot of religious studies texts. They do have a small amount of popular reading materials and a collection of children's books located on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
2nd Floor stacks
The library has seating space for 500 students including two group study rooms and a multimedia space. There are atriums on the 2nd and 3rd floor that offer lots of natural light and comfortable seating. Snacks are allowed in the artiums and there is a cafe on the 1st floor and vending machines on the 2nd.
No events were scheduled in the summer but the library does events in the fall and spring semesters. Some examples are a Prayers & Pastries breakfast, a parent leadership program, faculty publisher readings, and an undeclared student luncheon during Welcome Week.
The library does not have makerspaces because they lack room for them but the do host information literacy workshops in the multimedia space.

These are special museums housed in the library that are open to the public during certain days/times of the week
