Procrastination Worlwide

The laziness of people around the globe is not helping anybody

What it procrastination?

  • Procrastination is to put off intentionally the doing of something that should be done
  • We all do it, whether we like it or not
  • One person who procrastinates is affecting multiple people around them

Let's be honest with ourselves

Examples:

  • Waiting until the last minute to do an arguement. Staying up late due to your own procrastination
  • Rushing to leave the house on time because you thought you had more time to get ready
  • Putting off what your parents tell you to do until the last possible second or until its too late

Daily procrastinators

We procrastinate everyday, sometimes without even thinking. Some of us can't help ourselves to put things off to do what we want to do. For some of us its just a habit.

Effects

Poor decisions

  • Bad grade on a homework assignment because you were barely awake when you did it and your mind wasn't right.

Ruin reputation

  • People won't trust you to do what they tell you to do because they know you always procrastinate. Lose others trust.

Lose opportunities

  • Missing a deadline because you took to long to turn in paper work. Procrastination can make the things you want harder to get

Procrastination thought-process:

We ALL are to blame!

  • Procrasination is not just one persons fault. Peer pressure is a key factor in the decision a person makes to put something off until later.
  • You're also apart of the problem if you encourage someone to procrastinate, knowing they have something else important to do.

Examples:

  • Explaining to a friend how to get out of doing something they need to do and telling them they will get away with it.
  • Insulting or making fun of your friend for deciding to do their work, practically forcing that person to put aside what they need to do because they feel embarrassed.

The solution you'll like later

A solution to this major problem is very simple. Just break up the task in parts. Do a little bit at a time until you get the task done. Looking at a task all at once and telling yourself you'll get it done is a straight up lie. However, if you break it up into smaller, easier, and less time-consuming tasks, your'e more likely to get it done on time; while staying happy and being able to keep your free time.

Think about it!

Think about it

Procrasination may seem like the easiest solution to a task your not motivated to do. However, think about all the things you could've got done if you hadn't procrasinated and just decided to break it up and start little parts at a time. Less stress and more time to hangout with friends
