They where the first people to write and they wrote on clay tablets. They have developed to include sounds and meaning.there is 700 different symbols and the symbols often change over time. some of the tablets where found and some where not found. The most famous writing is Epic Tale of Gilgamesh and there writing was called wedge shaped. They used pictures and symbols to keep there records.This was thier written language.

The upper class is the king and the priest they are the only ones that can enter the ziggurates the ziggurates where very important buildings and they where temples. The (common) middle class where farmer, merchants, and fisherman. The last class is the lowest class they are slaves and servents. The kings lived in palaces while the ordinary people lived in mud brick houses. As you can see depending on your job in mesopotamia that is what house and which class they where.

Mesopotamia was ruled by king and the kings can only rule one city. Mesopotamia traded their surplus goods for other items. They used the Tigris and the Euphrates river and it was easy to travel to other cities. They all belived in many gods and godesses. They believed in four primary gods of the hills,sky,wind,and water. Hammurabi was the ruler of Bablylon and made 282 laws.

They had farmers and they made tools. They farmede all kinds of things and they also grew common vegetables. They herd animals to use for meat, milk, and wool or hides. Farming was a challenge for some Mesopotamia and controlling the water was not an easy task. They also hunted wild animals and caught fish from the river and sea.

They made inventions like the wheel it helped carry there goods to place to place to trade with others. They also invented writing the first to write and there writing is called cuneiform. Another thing that they invented is a map they used it to travel and to know where they where going their maps had rivers, countries, lakes,and even more.Lastly they invented the calender and pottery they used it to drink at store food in. They used the calender to let them know when its there farming days.This is what Mesopotamians invented.
