• I was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq in 2007 and moved to Australia in 2014
•It was challenging at first my sense of belonging to Wollongong grew stronger and my Kanyini was restored

• The second pillar is Walytja; family, which can be defined as your relationships.
• I interpret my own walytja as kinship with my family and friends.
• My family and friends are extremely important to me.
Spirituality
• Spirit encompasses love, spirit and soul. This refers to a person’s religious or spiritual status.
•I was born into Islam and I believe in the Islamic book, the Quran.
•If my Kurunpa was taken away like Bob Randall, I’d lose my religious beliefs and my cultural identity.
Belief System
• The fourth and final pillar Tjukurpa means the belief in creation and the right way to live.
• I believe that being a good person with good morals is th emost important thing.
• If my Tjukurpa was to be taken away like Bob Randall I would not only feel ignored but extremely disrespected.
• The documentary Kanyini has given me a deep insight on the Aboriginal culture and experiences members of the Stolen Generation have faced.
•I hope to continue learning about Aboriginal culture by consuming more media such as Kanyini.
• I plan to continue digging deeper about issues Aboriginal communites face
• In conclusion Kanyini is a concept that is applicable and relevant to everyone whether you are conscious of it or not.
