The Day of the Dead is one of the most representative festivities of Mexican culture.
November 1 is the day when the souls of the children are remembered and November 2 is the day when the dead adults return home to be with their relatives and eat of the offerings that have been dedicated to them.

Families make the altar in their homes and in cemeteries they decorate the graves of the deceased with flowers and offerings so that during those days the souls return from the afterlife and visit their families.
The idea of the altar of the dead is to have a place to remember loved ones who have passed away, with the objective of helping them to achieve eternal rest.

Portrait A photograph of the loved one means that he/she will be the one visiting the ofrenda.
Candles and candles: The flame of the candles or candles is the light, faith and hope. It is the guide for the dead to find their way back to their former home.

Two weeks later, the Lantern Festival, which commemorates the Buddha, is celebrated.
