Class Policies
- Assignments are due at the beginning of class.
- Quizzes are given at the beginning of class. If you miss class, you cannot make up a quiz.
- Tests can only be made up if the student contacts the instructor prior to the test date.
- If you are absent, you are responsible for any work that is due on that date and the date that you return. Have a student in this class that you can contact to keep you informed of class work you missed.
- Students are administratively withdrawn (WA) after they have missed 15% of hours given for a course. Arriving late & leaving early count toward this. It is your responsibility to sign the attendance sheet if you arrive late.
- No extra credit.

Class Policies
- Cell phones should remain on SILENT or vibrate mode and should not be visible in the classroom.
- Bring your textbooks to class. We use them for class activities.
- Late work not accepted, unless you meet one of 4 criteria.
- Raise your hand to speak during class.
- Actively contribute to group work.
- No sleeping.
- Laptops must be used for note taking only.
- Drinks and light snacks are acceptable. No full meals.
- Keep all comments appropriate and respectful of others.
- Check your Blackboard account regularly.
- Check your Gmail account daily.
- Papers must be composed in Microsoft Office Word and submitted in Blackboard as an attachment. Minus 50% for only submitting one way.

Class Policies
- Plagiarism is serious and will not be tolerated.
- "The appropriation of any other person's work and the unacknowledged incorporation of that work in one's own work."
- Minimum penalty is an automatic zero on the assignment.
- The Writing Center- great resource for getting tutoring - located in the Learning Center on the first floor of building 104.
